S.C. is hot and humid in summer. Shorts are O.K.. Cold nights and warm days are common in the winter, bring clothes you can layer. Bath towels & bed roll are not provided. Hogs die hard! Be proficient with your weapon. Bow hunters be warned, Indians didn't eat many hogs! Most 30cal. rifles, slug guns and large handguns will work. Scopes are a plus (hogs feed at dusk). Average shots for rifle stands are under 75yds. and under 30yds. for archery. Stay with heavy loads that are not highly expandable. Mechanical broad heads are not recommended. |
